KOZHIKODE, APRIL 27. Former Asian junior bronze medallists K. Ratnakaran took the sole lead at the end of the fifth round of the 42nd State `A' chess championship at the Chess India Complex here on Tuesday. When he beat his team-mate from Kozhikode, O.T. Anil Kumar in the fifth round, it was his fifth win in as many games, as he took his tally to five points. Anil was in the joint second position with four points, along with K. Alex Thomas of Wayanad and N. Abdul Majeed of Kozhikode.
