ECRSA in semifinals
VISAKHAPATNAM,
APRIL 27.
Host East Coast Railway Sports Association (ECRSA), Waltair, entered the semifinals of the Waltair Rail Cup, with an eight-wicket win over Visakhapatnam Steel Plant here on Tuesday.
The scores: VSP 126 in 46 overs (D.R. Srinivas 39, Satya Sai four for 13, G. Shankar Rao three for 22) lost to ECRSA, Waltair 127 for two in 21.5 overs (D. Narendra Kumar 71, P. Madhusudhan 42 not out).
Victoria CC 157 in 44 overs (P.V.T. Rao 28, V. Brahmaji Rao three for 24, Y. Laxman Kishore three for 32) lost to Metro CC 159 for two in 18.2 overs, including 45 penalty runs (P. Chandrasekhar 82 not out, Harikrishna 29).
M.F. Khan CC 231 for nine in 50 overs (D.V. Appa Rao 58, K. Sunil Kumar 40, S. Mahapatro three for 48) bt ECRSA, Sambalpur 167 in 32 overs (Kishore Naik 53, Chandu four for 47).
Wednesday's quarterfinals: Metro CC vs VPSC (VDCA Stadium), Royal CC vs ECRSA, Khurda Road (Railway Stadium) and Vizag Colts vs M.F. Khan CC (Port Stadium).
