Awards for promising youngsters

COIMBATORE, APRIL 28. Four promising youngsters from Coimbatore were presented awards for their excellent performances during the year at the annual day celebrations of the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association at the SDAT tennis stadium in Chennai recently. Madhura Ranganathan won the Justice P.S. Kallasam Memorial Award for her fine show in the Adidas-MCC Nationals, where she won the girls under-18 doubles title. Madhura also finished runner-up in the under-18 doubles at the DSCL Nationals. Janani Suresh and Navaneetha B. Kannan won the `Outstanding Player' awards for their performances in the under-14 and under-18 inter-State events.
