Raghavi in sole lead

DHARMAPURI, APRIL 28. N. Raghavi of Chennai emerged the sole leader in the girls' section with full points at the end of the fifth round in the Jayam College of Engineering & Technology-sponsored Tamil Nadu State under-15 chess championship on Wednesday.

In the boys' section, S. Nitin of Salem and P. Karthikeyan of Chennai share the lead with 5 points each.

Boys: P. Karthikeyan (5) bt Saravana Krishnan (4), 2. S. Nitin (5) bt S.A. Kannan (4), Muthu Alagappan (4.5) bt T.R. Shanmuganathan (3.5), S.P. Sethuraman (4) bt K. Priyadharshan (3.5), C.S. Rajesh (3) lost to T. Abhay (4), R. Ganeshkumar (3) lost to Arun Karthik (4).

Girls: P.K. Jayashree (4) lost to N. Raghavi (5), J. Rajasurya (4.5) bt Sudharshana (4), P. Siva Sankari (4.5) bt R. Gomathey (3), R.K. Shruke (3.5) drew with P. Uthra (3.5), Pon N. Krithikha (3.5) drew with S. Ashwini (3.5), S. Harini (4) bt H. Sowmya (3).

Fourth round: Saravana Krishnan bt Ayankarkuvel Rajan, Karthikeyan bt R. Premnath, B. Adhiban lost to S. Nitin, Kannan bt N. Surendran, Shanmuganathan bt Ven Prakash, Arun Karthik drew with K. Narayanan.

Girls: Raghavi bt Harini, Jayashree bt K. Vaishnavi, Sudharshana bt Shruke, Sowmya drew with J. Rajasurya, K. Radhika lost to Siva Sankari.
