Three teams in semifinals
VISAKHAPATNAM,
APRIL 28.
E.Co. RSA (Khurda), Metro CC and M.F. Khan CC moved into the semifinals of the Waltair Rail Cup cricket tournament here on Wednesday.
The scores: Royal CC 148 in 49.1 overs (Niyamatullah 28) lost to E.Co. RSA 151 for two in 21.1 overs (Sukhvinder Singh 52 n.o., Subhash 39, R.R. Das 30 n.o.).
VPSC 124 in 40 overs (N.S. Reddy 38, V. Brahmaji Rao four for 15, Laxman Kishore 3 for 8) lost to Metro CC 125 for seven in 39.2 overs (Sumanth 40, H. Vatekar three for 17, Sai Kumar 3 for 30).
Vizag Colts 215 for nine in 50 overs (Lavanya Kumar 56, Ramesh 52, Rajasekhar 33, Srinu 4 for 43) lost to M.F. Khan CC 193 for four in 32 overs (Appa Rao 76, Sunil 45, Gopi 27 n.o.). Vizag Colts was slapped 25 penalty runs for causing delay in commencement of the match and M.F. Khan CC was given a target of 190 runs.
