Vikas' effort goes in vain

NEW DELHI, APRIL 28. A five-wicket haul by Vikas Vij went in vain as Delhi Police beat Denak Bank by one-wicket in a super `A' division DDCA league cricket match at the University ground.

The scores:

Super `A' division: Dena Bank 185 for six in 40 overs (Deepak Sharma 51, Aditya Jain 49, Pradeep Gupta 41) lost to Delhi Police 187 for nine in 34 overs (Sanjay Verma 54, Harish Honda 45, Vikas Vij five for 24).

Inborn CC 102 in 28.3 overs (Rakshit Pant four for 28, Ashok Mourya three for 25) lost to Young Friends 103 for two in 18 overs (Yogender Negi 58).

`A-I' divsion: Ravi Brothers 204 for seven in 35 overs (Shalabh Gupta 57, Saurabh Tiwari 44, Neeraj Sharma 40, Manoj Sandhu three for 22) bt Century CC 172 for eight in 35 overs (Ram Prakash 92, Sandeep Yadav four for 25).

`A-II' division: Bank of India 145 in 20 overs (Manoj Lohia 83 not out) lost to Syndicate Bank 146 for two in 19.2 overs (Manoj Sharma 70 not out).
