The Sri Lankan off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan underwent tests on his action while delivering the 'doosra', the one that spins away, at the Biomechanics Laboratory of the School of Human Movement and Exercise Science at the University of Western Australia (UWA) in Perth in the first week of April (April 1 to 7). This delivery of Muralitharan had come under scrutiny after the bowler was reported by Match Referee Chris Broad to the International Cricket Council at the conclusion of the Sri Lanka - Australia Test series in Sri Lanka. The following is the nine-page confidential document comprising the 'Bowling Report - Mr Muttiah Muralitharan' by Professor Bruce Elliot and Ms. Jacque Alderson and the 'Remediation Report - Mr Muttiah Muralitharan' by Mr Daryl H. Foster which was sent by the UWA expert team to the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka. A copy of this report is with The Hindu and The Sportstar.
