Coalition forces' action in Iraq condemned

HYDERABAD, MAY 8. The Andhra Pradesh Council of Churches while condemning the "inhuman" treatment meted out to some Iraqi captives in Abu Ghraib prison by the soldiers of coalition forces urged the US and British authorities to take immediate corrective measures.

Jetti A. Oliver, secretary, in a statement on Saturday suggested that the Red Cross be given access from time to time to review the prevalent situation of Iraqi prisoners in the region as a matter of caution.
