Delhi Police wins

NEW DELHI, MAY 27. Mahesh Rawat's fighting 91 and Sumit Sharma's unbeaten 40 failed to lift Youngsters Club as it fell short by 10 runs and lost to Delhi Police in a Group `A' match in the DDCA super league cricket championship here.

The scores: Delhi Police 239 for six in 40 overs (Anil Rana 65, Sanjay Verma 33, Harvinder Kumar 29, Yogesh Kumar three for 38) beat Youngsters Club 229 for six in 40 overs (Mahesh Rawat 91, Sumit Sharma 40 not out).

City Gymkhana 237 in 40 overs (Karanjeet Singh 47, Piyush Tiwari 35, Raveesh Lohia 31, Sunny Grover 35, Kunal Bhandari 32, Samarth Singh three for 45) beat LIC 222 for nine in 40 overs (Raghubir Singh 100, Vikas Kapoor 32).
