No `clean chit' on Kargil: Pranab
NEW DELHI,
JUNE 19.
The Defence Minister, Pranab Mukherjee, today asserted that the Government has not given a ``clean chit'' to anyone on the Kargil conflict and said only facts had been presented in Parliament.
He was talking to reporters on the sidelines of the flag-in ceremony of the Navy's Mount Everest expedition.
`Agni-III test-firing when required'
India will conduct tests of its most powerful missile Agni-III capable of striking upto a distance of 3,000 km ``when required,'' Mr. Mukherjee said today amid indications that the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) had completed preparations for the trials.
``We will conduct the tests as and when required,'' he said when asked when the country would go ahead with the trials already put off twice since late last year. UNI, PTI
