VISAKHAPATNAM, JUNE 19. Andhra University has decided to conduct second phase of counselling to fill some of the seats that may fall vacant during the first phase of counselling for admission into post-graduate and diploma courses in the science stream. The second phase will be held from June 23 to 26. A candidate attending the counselling has to pay Rs. 200 in addition to the course fee. The candidates who have obtained ranks in the A.U. Common Entrance Test (AUCET) 2004 but could not get admission, those who could not produce original certificates and pay necessary fee in the first phase and those who could not attend the first phase could attend the second phase of counselling to be held at the TLN Sabha Hall on the AU campus, according to the Principal of the A.U. College of Science and Technology, K.V. Ramana Murthy, here on Saturday. Candidates have to attend the counselling along with the required original certificates and the prescribed fee in the shape of a demand draft. Candidates who have already been given admission are not allowed to attend the second phase of counselling. The following is the schedule of second phase of counselling for different categories of candidates: June 23: For all candidates belonging to the open, SC and BC categories in Bio-chemistry, botany, zoology, microbiology, bio-technology, environmental sciences, marine living resources and human genetics courses. June 24: For all categories of candidates for electronics course. For chemistry: Rank-holders from 1st to 1000th rank (men) and 1st to 5959th rank (women) in the open and BC categories and all SC candidates. For physics: Rank-holders from 1st to 1,000th (men) and 1st to 4952nd ranks (women) in the open and BC categories and all candidates of SC categories. For mathematics: Rank-holders from 1st to 1,000th (men) and 1st to 4,932nd ranks (women) in the open and BC categories and all SC candidates. June 25: For Chemistry, physics and mathematics rank-holders from 1001st to 3,000th ranks in the open category and from 1,001st to 3,000th rank in all BC categories. June 26: For Physics: Rank-holders from 3001st to 5959th. For chemistry: Rank holders from 3001st to 4952nd ranks and mathematics: Rank holders from 3001st to 4932nd ranks.
