NEW DELHI, JUNE 19. The former Prime Minister, P.V. Narasimha Rao, has been admitted to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here after he complained of loss of appetite and gastro-intestinal problems.

The 83-year-old senior Congress leader, who was shifted to the private cardiology ward today for routine check-ups, is "doing fine," said hospital authorities. The Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh, called on Mr. Rao this evening.
