RAJAHMUNDRY,
JUNE 29.
Narasi Krishna (40) of Mallisala in Jaggampeta mandal consumed pesticide on Sunday, reportedly due to debt and family problems. The farmer a son and three daughters, one of them mentally disabled. He had owned three acres of dry land and had taken a few more acres on lease. Crop failure and the worry about his daughters' marriages reportedly drove him to the act.
KURNOOL: B. Pullanna (45) of Nakkaladinne village in Rudravaram mandal of Kurnool district consumed poison. Reports said the farmer had suffered heavy losses and had debts to the tune of Rs. 1.3 lakhs.
