Southern language films for China

CHENNAI, JUNE 29. Following persuasion by the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce to give equal prominence to Southern language films along with Hindi at an Indian films festival in China, the Directorate of Film Festivals, in consultation with the Embassy of India, Beijing, has finalised a list of films.

According to L. Suresh, honorary secretary of the Chamber, the films proposed for screening from the Southern region are: Tamil - Autograph, Dhool, Ghilli, Thiruda Thirudi, Virumandi and Peralagan; Telugu - Vesham, Tagore, Lakshmi Narasimha, Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammay, Aarya, Nenunnanu; Malayalam - 4 The People, Vellinakshatram, War and Love and Runway; Kannada - Malla, Excuse me, Raktha Kanneeru and Durgi.
