Kiwis to tour Bangladesh
DHAKA,
JULY 1.
The New Zealand cricket team will tour Bangladesh later this year to play two Tests and three One-Day Internationals, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Thursday. The New Zealand team is due to arrive here on October 11 for its first full series against Bangladesh, the BCB said in a media statement.
Bangladesh toured New Zealand in 2001, during which it played only two Tests — no ODIs. During the upcoming tour, New Zealand's first Test match will start on October 19 in Dhaka.
The second Test will begin on October 26 in Chittagong, where the first one-day match will also be held on November 2. The other two one-dayers will be held on November 5 and 7 in Dhaka.
Bangladesh has not won a Test since becoming the 10th and the newest Test-playing nation in 2000. — AP
