MANILA, JULY 1. Sri Lankan Olympic medallist Susanthika Jayasinghe, struggling with a leg injury, finished behind rival Perpelova Lyubov of Uzbekistan, who won both of the women's dashes on Thursday in the third and final leg of the third Asian Athletics Grand Prix. Jayasinghe, 28, clocked 23.24 seconds in her favourite event, the 200m, and settled for third place. Lyubov won in 23.08. ``I injured my leg; that's why I can't go fast. But I think my time is still OK. My preparations for the Athens Olympics are still on schedule,'' said Jayasinghe, who had already qualified for the 100m at next month's games, but needs to post at least 23.17 to contest the 200. Lyubov wrapped up her third straight 100m victory in 11.17s. Rohan Pradeep Kumara of Sri Lanka, who earlier qualified for Athens, won the men's 400m in 46.22s. Indians bagged seven medals, including four golds. The golds came from Chitra K. Soman in women's 400m, Navpreet Singh in men's shot put, men's 4x400 relay and women's 4x400 relay. K.M. Binu bagged silver in the men's 400m, while Rajwinder Kaur took bronze in the women's 400m and the men's 4x100 team finished with the bronze.
