Indians claim two medals

CHENNAI, JULY 4. India settled for one silver and one bronze in the 10th Asian junior rowing championship, which concluded at Gifu, Japan today. National champions Satish Joshi, Ashish Singh, Justin Thomas and Rajkumar clinched the silver in the coxless four event for men.

Gurnoor Kaur of Chandigarh won the junior single scull women's event bronze at the three-day competetion.

This is Gurnoor's second successive international medal after bagging a bronze in the double scull event with Pravasini Dwibedi of Orissa in Hong Kong last year. — PTI
