Railway ministry in lead

NEW DELHI, JULY 4. Ministry of Railways beat Lok Sabha Secretariat 4-0 and led the inter-Ministry chess championship with 13.5 points after four rounds at the Nirman Bhawan Hall on Sunday.

Ministry of Commerce and Industry followed in the second place with 11 points.

The results: Fourth round: Railways (13.5) bt Lok Sabha Secretariat (8) 4-0; Power (10.5) bt Defence (10) 3-1; Commerce and Industry (11) w.o. Statistics and Programme Implementation (2). Third round: Defence bt Lok Sabha 3-1; Railways bt Communication 4-0; Commerce and Industry bt Information and Broadcasting 3-1; Power bt Statistics 4-0.
