St. Joseph's has it easy
BANGALORE,
JULY 5.
Host St. Joseph's Boys High School notched up a massive 13-0 win over Frank Anthony Public School in the Centenary Shield inter-school hockey tournament for seniors at the KSHA stadium here on Saturday.
Leading 4-0 at the half time, St. Joseph's steam-rollered its hapless opponent in the second half, with C. Abhishek scoring a hat-trick with goals in the 45th, 50th and 52nd minutes. He then added another one to his tally in the 56th minute.
Sujith Suresh (21st, 33rd and 34th mins) and P. Nicholas (24th, 36th and 38th mins) also had a treble each.
Nilesh (ninth), Reo (11th) and Hadrian (55th) were the other scorers for the winner.
In the Fr. Eric Vaz memorial tournament for juniors, L. Jumjum's fifth-minute strike earned Bishop Cotton's a 1-0 win over Frank Anthony's.
