Atul Ramkumar bowls well

BANGALORE, JULY 5. Seamer Atul Ramkumar's four-wicket haul helped Bangalore City defeat Vice President's XI by 120 runs in the KSCA Inter-District under-17 tournament match at the NRA Gound here on Monday.

Bangalore City scored 275 for six in 50 overs with Anupam Kumar scoring an unbeaten 55. The Vice President's XI chase never took off as Ramkumar snapped up the top-order in his opening spell to leave the team tottering at 34 for four in 11.3 overs.

Vice President's XI was restricted to 155 for seven in 50 overs despite a late-order revival engineered by Nawaz (49).

In another match, Mahendra Pallva's unbeaten 94 guided Combined City XI to an eight-wicket victory over President's XI.

The scores: Bangalore City XI 275 for six in 50 overs (Anupam Kumar 55 n.o., Himanshu 51, S.N. Pradeep 38, Sandeep 34, Vikas Raju 31) bt Vice President's XI 155 for seven in 50 overs (Nawaz 49, Raghuvir 26 n.o., Meeth 26; Atul Ramkumar four for 24).

President's XI 230 for nine in 50 overs (K.V. Darshan 53, Akshay Dev 43, Suraj Frank 37; Vimal Jeet three for 21) lost to Combined City XI 231 for two in 46.1 overs (Mahendra Pallva 94 n.o., Manish R. Alse 38, Manjunath Bhat 38 n.o., Jayanth 32).
