Panel to monitor implementation of labour policies

NEW DELHI,
JULY 5.
The Union Labour Ministry has set up a core group to monitor implementation of its policies contained in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP).
The 10-member core group will be headed by the Labour Secretary. The other members of the group are Additional Secretary (Labour), Directors General of Employees Insurance Corporation, Employment and Training and Labour Welfare, Central Provident Fund Commissioner and three joint secretaries.
The Labour and Employment Adviser would be the member secretary of the core group.
It will monitor the implementation of the policies and programmes in the CMP in a time-bound manner.
The group will meet once every fortnight to assess the progress made in the implementation of the labour policies.
