Dindigul in last four

TIRUNELVELI, JULY 6. Dindigul entered the semifinals of the 21st Tamil Nadu State sub-junior football championship, defeating Tiruvallur 1-0, at Anna Stadium, Palayamkottai on Tuesday.

Manikandan scored the winner in the 53rd minute.

In another first round match, Kancheepuram thrashed Namakkal 6-1. Namakkal took the lead in the 10th minute with a goal scored by Kavi Arasan. Jegadeesh scored the equaliser for Kancheepuram in the 15th minute.

From then it was Kancheepuram, which controlled the game and scored five more through Gopinath (29th), Jegadeesh (30th), Sivachandran (33rd), Sankar (45th) and Chanpasha (59th).
