CHIKMAGALUR, JULY 6. C.T. Ravi, MLA, has instructed the Child Development Officer, to replace poor quality foodgrains being supplied to some anganwadi centres in Chikmagalur taluk. The MLA, who presided over a reviewing meeting in the taluk panchayat here on Monday, expressed dissatisfaction with the work of the zilla panchayat engineering wing, particularly with regard to the implementation of the drinking water supply schemes. Satish, President of the Zilla Panchayat Standing Committee for Education and Health said some roads needed urgent repairs. S.L. Dharme Gowda, MLA, called upon the officials to rectify defects in the distribution of cards to people living below the poverty line. Mr. Satish wanted arrangements made to supply LPG cylinders to cooking centres of the Akshara Dasoha midday meal scheme.
