Karan, Yogesh shine

NEW DELHI, JULY 7. Karan Rai (73) and Yogesh Nagar (60 not out) helped Sonnet Club beat Gyan Bharti Academy by five wickets in the quarterfinal of the Railway Cup under-17 cricket tournament at the Karnail Singh stadium here.

In the second match, Robin Bisht struck unbeaten 103 to guide K. N. Colts into the semifinals.

The scores: Gyan Bharti Academy 186 for six in 30 overs (Naman Khanna 51, Tarun Kumar 36, Puneet Grewal 34, Manan Sharma three for 32) lost to Sonnet Club 188 for five in 28.4 overs (Karan Rai 73, Yogesh Nagar 60 not out, Naman Khanna three for 44).

K. N. Colts 194 for seven in 30 overs (Robin Bisht 103 not out, Chetan Bisht 62, Jayant Yadav three for 27) beat Northern Railway Academy 105 in 25.3 overs (Jayant Yadav 35, Ishant Sharma 30, Ravi Prakash three for 22, Vivek Mishra three for 15).
