Cheluvaraj shines

MYSORE, JULY 7. A good all-round performance by H. R. Cheluvaraj (99 & three for six), and his vital 186-run first-wicket partnership with southpaw opener Anil Bharadwaj (82), helped Mysore (Brindavan) XI register a 234-run win over Chamarajanagar in the Moffusil Zones Inter-District under-19 cricket tournament, conducted by the KSCA Mysore Zonal committee at the Gangotri grounds here on Wednesday.

The scores:

Mysore (Brindavan) 335 for five in 50 overs (Anil Bharadwaj 82, H. R. Cheluvaraj 99, K. B. Pavan 59 not out) bt Chamarajanagar 101 in 29.1 overs (Cheluvaraj three for six).

Mandya 141 in 49 overs (Yogesh 44) lost to Mysore (Chamundi) 194 for five in 29.5 overs (Inclusive of 50 penalty runs for five overs short) (Aditya B. Sagar 57, Manjesh Reddy 52 not out).
