JASE's maiden batch inducted

BANGALORE, JULY 7. The maiden batch, comprising 29 trainees in the age group of nine to 16, was inducted into the Jain Academy of Sports Excellence here, marking the commencement of the innovative academy. JASE, a division of the Jain Group of Institutions, is a fully residential academy for talented youngsters.

The objective of the academy, according to Chenraj Jain, Chariman of Jain Group, is to create a pool of sporting talent backed by good academics.

The trainees will be engaged in various sports including cricket, tennis, swimming, football, hockey and table tennis. They would be given a balanced diet and their performances will be closely monitored by a group of experts.

They will then be put in disciplines in which they have the right aptitude and talent, and get trained by professional coaches.

The academy, based in the Jain International Residential School complex, boasts a wide range of facilities including a turf wicket, synthetic tennis courts, hockey and football grounds, athletic track, a multi-purpose hall and a swimming pool. — Our Special Correspondent
