Anup Sridhar to play at Perth and Christchurch

BANGALORE, JULY 7. Anup Sridhar, who is ranked No.8 at home and 443 on the IBF list, will participate in the Canterbury international badminton championship, scheduled to be held at Christchurch from July 15 to 18 and in the Western Australian championship slated to be held at Perth a week later.

Anup, a ward of the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy, is being sponsored for the trip by the Academy.

The PPBA, Prakash said, had drawn up an elaborate programme to send some of its promising players to similar events later this year. Plans are also afoot, to send couple of youngsters for training in Malaysia, he added.
