Friends XI lifts Seshadri Memorial Cup

CHENNAI, JULY 8. Friends XI (Tambaram) defeated Kattankulathur by seven wickets to lift the Seshadri Memorial Cup at the Madras Christian College (Turf) wickets here on Wednesday.

The scores (final): Kattankulathur 162 for two in 30 overs (A. Jayesh 55, M. Srinivasan 26, R. Chandrasekar 29) lost to Friends XI (Tbm) 168 for three in 28.5 overs (S. Ganesh Kumar 43, B. Ramprakash 50 not out, V. Devendran 28 not out, Ambarish Rangan three for 24). Man of the match: B. Ramprakash.

Special prizes: Promising youngster: R. Karthick (Kattankulathur); Best batsman (in the final): A. Jayesh (Kattankulathur), Best bowler (in the final): Ambarish Rangan (Kattankulathur); Best all-rounder: V. Devendran (Friends XI).
