TNFC pips CIT FC

COIMBATORE, JULY 8. Bakthavatchalam converted a penalty in the 27th minute to help Thiyagi NGR Football Club (TNFC) score a 1-0 win over CIT FC in the Mahendra Pumps `A' division football league organised by the Coimbatore District Football Association at the Nehru Stadium here on Thursday.

In another match, Radhakrishnan's second minute strike enabled LEC Sports Club carve out a 1-0 win over Premier Mills Sports Club. LEC did gain enough opportunities to enhance the margin, but found Premier custodian Sakthivel a tough nut to crack.

On Wednesday, Asoka Football Club held Union Football Club to a goalless draw at Tirupur.
