Warangal wins

HYDERABAD, JULY 15. Warangal district won the title in the men's section in the first AP State volleyball championships for the deaf which was conducted at the Railway Recreation Club grounds from July 10 to 11 according to a statement released by the Ranga Reddy District Sports Association for the Deaf here on Thursday.

About 450 deaf volleyball players from various districts took part in the tournament which was conducted in four categories.

The results:

Men: 1. Warangal Dist; 2. Ranga Reddy; 3. West Godavari.

Junior boys: 1. Krishna; 2. Adilabad; 3. Visakhapatnam.

Sub junior boys: 1. Nizamabad; 2. Visakhapatnam; 3. Krishna.

Junior girls: 1. Nizamabad; 2. Visakhapatnam. No third place.
