TIRUCHI, AUG. 2. The allotment of the National Social Security Number for Employees Provident Fund (EPF) subscribers by the various offices of Employees' Provident Fund Organisation is in progress in the State, says Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, T. Krishnaswamy. According to a release, Mr. Krishnaswamy said EPF services in areas such as PF accounts, settlement of accounts, and information regarding subscribers' credit amount, will become swifter and better after allotment of the number. Successful implementation of the project would also reduce the compliance cost to the employers. So far, 200 camps have been conducted in the State for obtaining the photographs of the members for the allotment of the security number. He called for the support of the employers in securing the members' data in the prescribed format, to accelerate the pace of the project and forward it to the sub-regional office here. For further information, employers can contact District Offices of Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Kumbakonam, Karur and Cuddalore, the release added.
