KOCHI, AUG. 12. The Rashtriya Mahasabha has demanded that the political parties and the State Government make their stand clear on the issue of maintaining reservation for appointment to the posts in the Judiciary. Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, the Mahasabha general secretary, M. Geethanandan, alleged that all political parties, both the Left and the Right, were remaining silent over the issue. He said the Mahasabha will launch an agitation raising these demands, bringing together the other Dalit and mass movements. He said the Mahasabha would observe August 15 as Rajani Day, paying homage to the self-financing engineering college student who committed suicide. Dharna and meetings will be held at all district headquarters. The meeting in Ernakulam will be held at the Boat Jetty. C. Narayanan, Suresh Parayil and V.C. Rajappan, Mahasabha leaders, were present at the press conference.
