TDB circular quashed

KOCHI, AUG.12. A Bench of the Kerala high Court comprising Justice S. Sankarasubban and Justice A.K. Basheer today quashed the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) circular stipulating special methods for selection of melsanthis at the Mookambika temple in Paravoor.

The judgment came on a writ petition filed by Janardhanan Namboodiri, melsanthi of the Mookannoor-Koottala Devi Temple under the Paravoor Devaswom group.

According to the circular, the melsanthi for the Mookambika temple would be appointed by conducting separate selection procedure.
