BANGALORE, AUG. 13. As many as 26 medical, dental and engineering colleges managed by minority institutions have come together under the Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Professional Colleges Association. These colleges have planned to conduct an entrance test called KRLM-CAT 2004 for admissions under the management quota. The association members include six medical, 10 dental and 10 engineering colleges.
Process in eight days
According to them, applications will be issued, the entrance test conducted, the results announced and the admissions carried out, all within eight days. The colleges have started issuing applications. With the Supreme Court directing a 50:50 seat-sharing ratio in minority colleges, the members of the association will have 200 medical, 250 dental and 800 engineering seats for them. Most of these colleges have stayed away from the Common Entrance Test and the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K).

The colleges are Al Ameen Medical College, Bijapur; AJ Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore; MVJ Medical College, Bangalore; Navodaya Medical Colege, Raichur; SDM Medical College, Dharwad and Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore. Al Ameen Dental College, Bijapur; Al Badar Rural Dental College and Hospital, Gulbarga; AJ Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore; Bangalore Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital; Coorg Institute of Dental Sciences, Virajpet; Farooquia Dental College; Raja Rajeshwari Dental College and Hospital, Bangalore; SDM Dental College, Dharwad; Oxford Dental College and Vydehi College of Dental Sciences, Bangalore. Anjuman Engineering College, Bhatkal; Bahubali College of Engineering, Shravanabelagola; Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Bidar; HKBK College of Engineering, Bangalore; KCT College of Engineering, Gulbarga; MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore; New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore; PA College of Engineering, Bantwal; SDM College of Engineering, Dharwad and Oxford College of Engineering, Bangalore.
