Traffic regulations on Independence Day

BANGALORE, AUG. 13. The city traffic police have made traffic arrangements in and around Field Marshal Manekshaw parade ground for the ceremonial Independence Day parade on August 15.

According to a press release, all invitees with red passes should come to Cubbon Road and enter Gate no.1 facing the northern side of the parade ground.

All VIPs, Ministers, and secretaries to Government, military officers, police officers, and freedom fighters can use Gate no. 2 on Cubbon Road in front of the Military Supply Depot and park on the northern side of the parking lot inside the ground.

Special facility

All green pass holders can park their vehicles in the parking lot on Kamaraj and Main Guard crossroads and enter the ground through Gate no. 3. Vehicles, carrying people participating in the parade and cultural events, can be brought to the ground through Gate no. 3 and parked behind the participants' vehicles.

Similarly, all Government vehicles of Police and Public Works and other departments and BMP can enter the parade ground from Gate no. 3 and parked behind the participants' vehicles.

Parking for motorcycles

All two-wheelers can be parked on Kamaraj Road and can enter through Gate no. 3 facing the same road. Those who do not have car passes can park on Kamaraj Road parking area and enter the ground through Gate no. 3.

Traffic will be diverted on Independence Day from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. from BRV junction to K.R. Road junction (both directions) on Cubbon Road.

The vehicles coming from CTO Circle towards Manipal Centre on Cubbon Road should take a left turn on Central Street at BRV junction and then go along the Central Street junction (right turn), Infantry Road (Bhagwan Mahaveer Road)-Safina Plaza (left turn), Main Guard Road-Allies Circle-Dispensary Road-Kamaraj Road and Dickenson Road junction (right turn), K.R. Road-K.R. Road junction (left turn) and Cubbon Road onwards to Manipal Centre junction.

Vehicles coming from Manipal junction towards CTO junction on Cubbon Road should take a left turn at K.R. Road junction towards Cauvery Art and Crafts Circle junction (right turn), M.G. Road-Anil Kumble Circle (right turn), BRV junction (left turn) and on to CTO Circle.

Vehicles coming from Anil Kumble Circle towards Cubbon Road should go straight on Central Street junction (right turn), Infantry Road-Safina Plaza (left turn), Main Guard Road-Allies Circle-Dispensary Road-Kamaraj Road and Dickenson Road junction (right turn), K.R. Road junction (left turn) and Cubbon Road onwards to Manipal Centre junction.

Vehicles coming from Cauvery Arts and Craft Circle on M.G. Road going towards Cubbon Road and K.R. Road junction should go straight on M.G. Road towards Anil Kumble junction (right turn), BRV junction (left turn), Cubbon Road, and on to CTO circle.
