THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, SEPT. 3. The State secretary of the CPI(M), Pinarayi Vijayan, has warned of a strong agitation if the Oommen Chandy Government followed the policy of the Antony Government which had ruled without any commitment to society. Mr. Vijayan who was inaugurating the 47th annual conference of the Kerala Legislature Secretariat Staff Association (KLSA) here today said that Mr. Chandy, who had a long list of ministerial aspirants, did not know where three constituents of the UDF stood. It was Mr. Chandy who had been holding discussions with the managements of self-financing institutions for the UDF. Because of it, the order on admissions to professional courses issued after he assumed office roused suspicion. He warned that responsible movements would take up cudgels if the Government stood with the `education merchants'. It was because the high command knew that the UDF would have no chance in the coming elections to the local bodies and the next Assembly elections that it removed A.K. Antony. The president of the organisation, S. Leela Amma, chaired the meeting which was addressed by the representatives of fraternal organisations among others.
