Pramod wins title
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
SEPT. 19.
Pramod Das won the title in the Thiruvananthapuram district inter-institution chess tournament at the RBI hall here on Sunday. RBI won the team championship with 22.5 points.
The results (eighth round): Pramod Das 7 bt Gunaseelan 6; Joseph 6 lost to Sudhesh 6.5; Manoharan 6 bt KGS Nair 5; Rajan 5.5 drew Pillai 5.5; Ganesh 6 bt Justin Joseph 5; Chandran 4.5 lost to Joseph 5.5; Saji 5 bt Mohan Kumar 4.5; Kesavadas 5 bt Sunil Kumar 4; Mohanan 5 bt Nair 4; Mathani 5 bt Benny 4; Nair 4 lost to Vijayakumar 5.
