Cloudy sky

CHENNAI, SEPT. 20. The sky will be generally cloudy on Tuesday and there is a possibility of a shower or thundershower in some areas. On Monday, Nungambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 31.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 22.4. Meenambakkam recorded a maximum of 30.8 and a minimum of 23.4 degrees Celsius. While Meenambakkam recorded a rainfall of 0.2 mm, Nungambakkam recorded a rainfall of 0.4 mm. Humidity stood at 85 and 87 per cent.

Power cut

Power supply will be suspended on Tuesday in parts of Tambaram, Puzhal and K.K. Nagar.

Discussion

Questions from the International Physics Olympiad held recently in South Korea will be discussed at the Children's Club, 96, V.M. Street, Mylapore, on Sunday. The discussion, which is scheduled to begin at 9.30 a.m., is open to Plus-Two students and teachers.

Heritage quiz

The first round of the Central Board of Secondary Education-Heritage India Quiz 2004 will be held at 78 centres across the country and abroad on Sunday, October 3. Lists of centres and schools allotted to each centre are available online on www.cbse.nic.in.
