CHENNAI, SEPT. 20. Students past and present of the Department of Social Work, D.G. Vaishnav College, were given an overview on Human Resources as a profession at PERFORM Personnel and Employee Relations Forum, an annual event organised by the department. The forum was being held to train and motivate students towards corporate culture. The theme of the day-long event was `Organisational Redesign The role of HR.' Vidhya Srinivasan, head, department of Social Work, said the event aimed at giving the students a forum where they could directly interact with leaders of the industry that they would be part of, once they complete their two-year programme. The speakers included R. Ramaraj, Managing Director of Sify, R. Santhanam, Managing Director of Hindustan Motors, and Rajiv Narang, Founder Director, Erewhon Consulting.
