BANGALORE, SEPT. 21. The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Southern Range, Y.R. Patil, has been appointed Registrar, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), in compliance with the Central Administrative Tribunal's order that his request to be retained in Mysore be considered. He had appealed to the tribunal on July 18 this year, a day after he was transferred as the IGP, Anti-Terrorist Cell, Bangalore, seeking to be retained in Mysore.
Transfers stayed
Three IAS officers, who were transferred last week, will now remain in their former posts, after the Government decided to stay their transfer orders. B.R. Jayaramaraj Urs, will continue as Joint Commissioner of Excise, Bangalore, instead of taking charge as Additional Secretary (Budget and Resources), Finance Department. G.S. Narayana Swamy, will remain as Deputy Commissioner, Bangalore Urban District, instead of taking over as Additional Commissioner of Excise. Amlan Aditya Biswas, Deputy Secretary (Budget and Resources), Finance Department, will continue to hold the same post instead of taking charge as CEO, Zilla Panchayat, Raichur.
