Fairs banned

BIDAR, SEPT. 27. Fairs and regular vegetable and cattle markets in the Bidar Lok Sabha Constituency have been banned on October 13, the day of polling for the byelection.

Fairs in Ladvanti in Basavakalyan taluk, Humnabad town, Kherda (B) and Chimmagaon in Aurad taluk, V.K. Salagar in Aland taluk and Mangalpet in Bidar taluk scheduled for that day are banned.

The Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer for the byelection, T.K. Anil Kumar, has asked tahsildars, gram panchayat secretaries and taluk marketing committee officials to implement the order.
