Airtel cuts STD tariffs

NEW DELHI: Airtel's fixed line service division on Wednesday cuts its STD tariffs by up to 50 per cent and introduced a special tariff for STD calls to Mumbai. The company has reduced its STD rates to Rs. 2.40 per minute for pulse and minute based plans. In addition, it has introduced a flat tariff of Rs. 1.90 per minute for fixed line to fixed line calls to Mumbai on Plan 499 and above for the residential segment, and Plan 250 and above for the corporate segment.

The calls to WLL or cellular phones in Mumbai will be charged under the new reduced pulse and minute based rates. The company has also introduced a first of its kind "Top-up" plans on fixed line for its subscribers in both Delhi and Haryana. These rates will be effective from the midnight of October 15.
