UltraTech cement launched

KOCHI: The Aditya Birla group has launched UltraTech cement. Formerly known as L&T cement, the UltraTech would play a leading position in all markets, said O. P. Puranmalka, Group Executive President, who announced the renaming at a function here on Thursday. There was enormous potential for growth of cement business in India as the per capita consumption was only 110 kg against the global average of 260 kg at present, he said.
