For Pakistan, only opener Salman Butt made 40 and Sohaib Malik made 37 with all the other big names failing. Earlier Kumar Sangakkara and captain Marvan Atapattu hit half centuries to help Sri Lanka post 287 for seven. Sangakkara top scored with 68 off 69 balls, while Atapattumade 66. Both players combined for a 106-run third wicket stand. Mahela Jayawardene (49) and Tillekeratne Dilshan (39) also scored useful runs and lifted the Sri Lankan total in the last 15 overs. Afridi was the pick of Pakistan bowlers with two wickets but went for 60 runs off his 10 overs. AP
