State junior hockey from Oct. 22
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM,
OCT. 16.
Last year's winner Kollam had been drawn in Pool `A' and runner-up Palakkad in Pool `D' in the preliminary league of the 34th State junior hockey championship to be held the Railway Institute ground, Palakkad, from October 22 to 24.
The tournament would be played on a league-cum-knockout basis, said a release from the Kerala Hockey Association. The State team for the National junior championship will be chosen from the three-day event.
The groupings: Pool `A': Kollam, Ernakulam, Kasaragod and Wayanad. Pool `B': Thrissur, Alappuzha and Kozhikode. Pool `C': Thiruvananthapuram, Malappuram and Kottayam. Pool `D': Palakkad, Kannur and Idukki.
