Facile win for MEG
BANGALORE,
OCT. 16.
It was a facile 10-0 win for MEG Boys Company over Dhyand Chand Hockey Club in the Karnataka State Hockey Association's `C' division league championship at the KSHA Stadium here on Saturday. Deepak struck four goals, scoring twice in each half, to fashion MEG's victory. The other scorers were Udaya and Anup Topno (two each), Charanraj and Surjit.
In another tie, Dhanraj-Ballal Hockey Academy `B' beat Sahayadari Hockey Club, Shimoga 3-1. Gautam, Pramod and Surendra founded the target for DHBA while Maxi Farias reduced the margin for the Shimoga team.
Earlier, East Indian Hockey Club drew goalless with Sports Promotion Group.
