American College retains title
MADURAI,
OCT. 16
. American College retained the Subbiah Naidu Memorial Trophy for the 16th successive year defeating MSS Wakf Board College 2-0 in the final of the Madurai Kamaraj University `A' zone inter-collegiate hockey tournament here on Saturday. Sathyaseelan and Venkatesh scored.
Earlier in the semifinals, American College beat Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College, Sivakasi 3-0 and MSSWB College beat Saraswathy Narayanan College 2-0.
Balakrishnan (2) and Sathyaseelan scored for American College. Vijayakumar and Fasi Ahmed scored for SN College.
