TIRUCHI, OCT. 16. Bishop Heber College collected 140 points to claim the team championship at the Bharathidasan University inter-collegiate best physique (men) competition conducted by the National College here recently. Jamal Mohamed College with 42 points was placed second. A. Suresh Kumar (Bishop Heber College) won the gold in the 55 kg class. While the silver went to R. Venkatesh (Jamal Mohamed), the bronze went to D. Arun (A. V. C. College, Mayiladuthurai).
60 kg: 1. G. Pragathishwaran (Poompuhar), 2. C. Balamurali (Urumu Dhanalakshmi), 3. K. Anand (AVC, Mayiladuthurai); 65 kgs: 1. G. Sridhar (HH Rajah's College), 2. K. Ramesh Kumar (Bishop Heber), 3. Hamanath (Bishop Heber); 70 kgs: 1. Y. Saravanan (Khadir Mohideen College, Adirampattinam), 2. P. Jayakumar (Christhuraja College), 3. S. Thomas Xavier (Bishop Heber).
75 kgs: 1. D. Kesavan (Urumu Dhanalakshmi), 2. M. Suresh Kumar (Urumu Dhanalakshmi), 3. T. Dinesh Babu (Bishop Heber).
80 kgs: 1. A. Dharma (AVVM Sri Pushpam College, Poondi, Thanjavur), 2. K. Venkatesh (Adaikalamatha College), 3. S. Krishna Chander (Bishop Heber).
80 kgs and above: 1. R. Karthikeyan (J. J. College of Arts and Science), 2. T. Muthukumar (Bishop Heber), 3. Prathap Singh (Jamal Mohamed).
