Durand Cup from Oct. 23
NEW DELHI,
OCT. 16.
The 117th edition of the Durand Cup football tournament will be held here from October 23.
Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, JCT, Phagwara, Salgaocar, Air India, Sporting Club De Goa, State Bank of Travancore, Army XI, Dempo, and TFA, Jamshedpur, have been seeded into the second phase league which will begin at the Ambedkar Stadium on November 1. The final is scheduled on November 10.
The preliminary knock-out competition will be held at the Air Force Station ground, New Delhi.
Other prominent teams to compete in the qualifying round are MEG, Bangalore, BSF, Jhalandhar, Gorkha Brigade, IAF XI, STC, Goa and Indian Navy.
