Jindal Steel in last four
NEW DELHI,
NOV. 4.
Samir Suhag and Basheer Ali scored three goals each as Jindal Steel and Power defeated President's Body Guards/NDA 7-4 and made it to the semifinals of the Havana Cavalry Gold Cup 10-goal polo tournament at the Jaipur Polo Ground here on Thursday.
Naveen Jindal was the other scorer for Jindals. For PBG/NDA Bhawani Singh and Navjot Sandhu scored two goals each.
In other quarterfinal matches, Zara blanked Cavalry (Green) 8-0 as Gerardo Mazzini fired seven goals; and Crompton Greaves defeated Cavarly (Red) nine goals to four-and-a-half.
In the Field Marshal Carriappa Cup 12-goal tournament, French Connection beat Gunners five goals to four-and-a-half at the Army Equestrian Centre Polo Ground in Delhi Cantonment.
